    P90X Results – Day 15

Chest & Back – My Day 14 results has made me realize that P90X is the real deal! I think I have to work even harder the next 14 days to see another significant change in my measurements and body. I did not pace myself during this workout, I did max reps every set I completed. I basically went  to failure each set but the workout changes from a chest exercise to a back exercise so my muscles were able to recoup a bit while doing the other muscle group. I have said this before but I do not even come close to the video as far as pull-ups go but I do my best each time.

I do not eat before I workout in the morning. My alarm is set to 5:15am and I usually get out of bed around 5:25…my goal is to start by 5:30am (earlier on yoga-x days). Not that it takes long but I always make my P90X Recovery Drink the night before. Once my workout it complete, I immediately chug it down. The more I drink this, the more I enjoy it and look forward to having it. Today, I took a good sip of it before round 2 of chest & back. I wanted to finish the workout strong and needed something in my system. …call it “mental” but it seemed to work!

     -ARX will get done tonight

P90X Reviews – Day 14 Pictures and Measurements

It’s only Day 14 but I am pretty stoked with my results so far. I lost 8 lbs and my body fat percentage dropped from 18% to 12%. My thighs are 2″ smaller and my arms gained 3/4″. I would be naive to think that I will see these same results during the next 14 days but I am going to try!!

I see the biggest difference in my chest, I do not have as much fat on it. Seeing this progress assures me that the P90X program really works, I am now looking forward to Day 28 pictures and measurements.

Here are my Day 14 measurements:

    Body fat % – 12% (Day 1 – 18%)

    Weight – 212 lbs (Day 1 – 220lbs)

    Chest – 401/2″ (Day 1 – 40″)

    Waist – 38 1/2″ (Day 1 -391/2″)

    Right thigh – 25 1/2″ (Day 1 -271/2″)

    Left thigh – 25 1/2″ (Day 1 -271/2″)

    Right arm – 163/4″ (Day 1 -16″)

    Left arm – 163/4″ (Day 1 -16″)

    P90X Workout – Day 13

Kenpo-X was much more exhausting this week. I somewhat master the moves so I spent the whole workout actually working out. Last week, it took some time getting the moves down so I didn’t realize it at the time but I was moving a lot slower as I kept looking at the video to see if I was doing it right or wrong. I completed the workout this morning and tonight as I am writing this, my legs are ridiculously sore. It’s a good sore though,  it just feels good that I am finally using muscle that have been hibernating for awhile.

I think I am more strict during the work week as far as the nutrition plan goes.  My meals are already planned and ready to go when I have work. The weekends are somewhat a free for all, I think about what I am going to eat just before I eat it. I may be consuming calories that I later forget about. I know I am not cheating but I am also not counting my calories either. If I do not see the results I am hoping for tomorrow on my Day 14 measurements, I will have to think about tweaking my diet, we’ll see…

fightFAT: Chris - My P90X MASS routine would be perfect for you. To be honest, I thought I was going to bulk up more (physically) but it did not work out that way. What ended up happening was an increase in lean muscle. This makes sense but I also saw a significant increase with my strength. Again, my goal was to bulk up but I did not consume enough calories to make it happen. At the time, I just finished P90X doubles where I lost 27lbs so I was a bit hesitant on eating too much as I did not want to gain the weight back I just lost. Oddly enough, I have no desire to bulk up anymore…I have the same goal as you, building lean muscle. If I wasn't going to be training for my upcoming triathlons, I would be doing P90X MASS myself. I have received tons of emails claiming how effective it has been for different people. Good Luck

Chris: Hey, I just found this blog and am looking for some solid, experienced, advice. I have two rounds of P90X down and am on my final week of Insanity. Now I want to put on some lean mass and I've been considering either P90X Mass or more of a 5x5 plan. I'm trying to comb through your blog for results of your Mass circuit and can't find it. Do you have any before/after information (or other info) to help me pick a workout to do next? Thanks, C

fightFAT: Following P90X with Insanity is very impressive, good for you. I would definitely bring over Ab Ripper X if you are up for it. I initially thought that myself but never followed through with it. Good luck

Matt: Hey dude, I had a question for you. I'm wrapping up round 2 of P90X in a few weeks and starting Insanity right after. I'm really loving my upper body after P90X and I've decided I'm going to keep doing the resistance workouts from Days 1 and 3 of the week along with Insanity. My question is, what are your thoughts on bringing ab ripper with me too? I know Insanity doesn't have too much resistance work, but I know it has a lot of ab stuff which is why I'm wondering. Congrats on the progress man, and thanks for the info! -Matt

fightFAT: There is no harm in hitting pause and/or taking breaks so my recommendation is to stick with insanity. As you continue to workout, you will not only see improvement but eventually be able to keep up with the video.
