			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Even though I worked out 5 days last week (3 four mile runs, 2 lifting days), it’s not the same as doing P90X…I feel like I am slacking. I know round 2 will be here before I know it so I am trying to enjoy this time away from P90X.</p>
<p>Between going out to lunch and dinner a couple of times last week and pretty much eating more overall during the week, I am happy to say I did not gain any weight. My metabolism is still screaming from my first round of P90X so I know that plays a significant role with not gaining any weight this past week. What also plays a role is the fact that maintaining your results is a lot easier to accomplish than improving your results.</p>
<p>My <a href="http://fightfatblogger.com/tony-hortons-powerstands/" target="_blank">Tony Horton Power Stands</a> arrived last week and I have to say I am really impressed with them! They are extremely durable (no fear of tipping) and are very high for super deep push-ups…you could also do tricep dips with them. The handles are also padded for comfort. I knew I was getting a solid set of push-up stands but after seeing how big they were and the material used, they far exceeded my expectations. I banged out a few sets with them this morning and I started feeling a burn after 10 or so reps…compared to 30 or so without them <a href="http://fightfatblogger.com/tony-hortons-powerstands/" target="_blank">(click here for more info)</a> .</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Resistance training bands are becoming very popular in the world of fitness today. They have been proven to help you burn fat and lean muscle faster than ever and are just as effective as weights. They are also very affordable, especially if you compare them to weights. You can pretty much incorporate them in everyday exercise routines. Most of BeachBody’s fitness programs utilize these bands. The P90X program which has more of a focus on building muscle can be 100% completed with resistance bands. You can even buy a door adapter and perform an alternative exercise to chin-ups with them. Resistance bands are also great for the traveler as they fit easily in your carry-on and are light weight.<span id="more-433"></span></p>
<p>Personally, I was very skeptical about buying these resistance bands. I was always used to going to the gym and using their mass supply of dumbbells. I figured if I did not like them, maybe my wife would use them. I can tell you that I like them very much and my wife loves them. I am still a bit old-school and love free weights / dumbbells. I do highly recommend them if you do not have a full set of dumbbells though. I only have 30 and 40 pound sets of dumbbells so I use the resistance bands for all exercises that fall below the 30lb mark and I actually use the bands for exercises that exceed 40lbs. You can control the tension by shortening or lengthening the band.  </p>
<p>I am not so sure if I will ever give up my love of weighted dumbbells but I know many people that have and only work out with the bands now.</p>
