P90X MASS Review – Day 94
Legs & Back – I wore the 40lb weighted vest during this routine and I honestly felt like I was doing P90X for the first time. This workout is hard enough, imagine how difficult it is adding an additional 40 pounds to your body. Most of the exercises involved 25-30 reps but I was averaging 12-18 reps with the vest on. I was just going at my own pace and focusing on my form. I pretty much called it quits about 5 or so seconds before the time clock ran to zero. The wall squats were very tough and the single wall squats were all out ridiculous! I also used dumbbells on some of the exercises so I was even adding more weight on those.
My goal was just to focus on my legs but I did do some pull-ups. I was only able to do 2-3 pull-ups each set so I used the remainder of the time to recover for the next heavy leg exercise.
All in all, very pumped about my workout this morning….and I credit the weighted vest. During phase 3 of my first round of P90X, I was somewhat getting used to this workout. I feel like I am a beginner again wearing the vest so between the chest workout and this one, I am very happy I made the vest purchase!
