P90X MASS Reviews – Day 92
Back & Biceps – I started off wearing the 40lb weighted vest and I was somewhat surprised that I was able to do 8 pull-ups on the first exercise with it on. But when the 2nd and 3rd set of pull-ups came, I struggled to do 2-3 so I took it off. My plan is to start off wearing it on the back days and when I am unable to do 2-3 pull-ups with it on…just take it off. I had a strong bicep day this morning. I was using a weight that on some exercises failed at 4 reps. I would take a few second break and try to muscle up 2-3 more.
Tip of the day – If you are looking to build bigger arms, don’t be shy to cheat. “Cheat Curls” are considered one of the best exercises you can perform to build muscle mass in your arms. First, you use a weight that is a bit heavier than you normally use. Then, at the point of failure when you are unable to do anymore…cheat. You can use your back and shoulder muscles a bit to curl up the weight and then when it’s up…concentrate on lowering it very slowly (referred to as a negative curl). This technique will force new muscle growth.
