P90X Plan – Day 20
Kenpo-X – This workout kicked my butt, I really pushed myself hard this morning. My kicks seemed to be higher than normal and I was exhausted by the end. I did not have to concentrate on the moves as much as I have been in the previous workouts, they all came naturally. I made sure I focused on my hips moving when I threw either a punch and/or kick. I do like this workout, it seems to go by fast and I feel that I am working every muscle.
Tomorrow is my rest day but I may do some heavy biceps and triceps. If I had one issue with the P90X program, I would say they do not pay too much attention to arms. Now, I know the arm workouts are killer but it would have been nice to do arms twice a week rather than once. Between the chest & back, plyometrics, and legs & back workouts , we do back twice a week and somewhat do legs twice a week….so why not arms?? I feel that my arms are becoming leaner which also means they are getting smaller so I am going to spend some time on them on my rest day. I definitely do not think I will be overworking them so I do not see a reason not to do them. I also realize that the P90X program was developed by professionals and has been proven time after time the way it is but again, I do not feel I am hurting myself sneaking in an extra arm workout here and there.
