P90X Results – Day 57
Chest & Back – Today marks the beginning of phase 3. Phase 3 is the last phase of the 90 day program and it consist of both phase 1 and 2 workouts. I have phase 1 workouts this week and phase 2 workouts next week…then another week of phase 1 and 2 workouts making this phase the longest of the three (5 weeks including the rest week).
It was a nice change this morning doing the chest & back workout as it’s been 5 weeks since I last completed it. This is where that whole muscle confusion comes into play, once your body gets comfortable with a workout…P90X changes it on you which enhances muscle growth and fat loss. I did not do ARX this morning so I will complete it tonight.
Nutrition - I ended up cheating yesterday and seeing that it was not considered a “scheduled cheat day”, I did feel a bit guilty about it…afterwards of course. I have said this before but in my opinion the P90X workouts are the easy part, the nutrition piece takes a lot more work and discipline to maintain as it’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For what it’s worth, I did justify my cheat day yesterday by saying “tomorrow is the start of phase 3 and my plan is to do doubles 4 days a week”…now I need to follow through with it!
