P90X Reviews – Day 55
Core Synergistics- I was just about to type how this workout is by far my favorite but that thought forced me to think about it for a moment. Yes, I do enjoy core synergistics a lot but I just realized that I like “shoulders & arms”, “chest, tri’s & back”, and “back & bi’s” just as much. And lately, I am loving my new “yoga/cardio” routine…and I have to say that I feel the best when I COMPLETE “plyometrics”, not so much during it though. There is such a variety of workouts within the P90X program, this is just another reason why people get hooked on it.
I find myself becoming a bigger advocate of P90X each day. To my knowledge, there is nothing even remotely close to being as effective as P90X as far as home fitness programs go. Of course you could hire a trainer and workout at a gym 6 days a week but how much would that cost? Actually, I have an idea on what it would cost…a coworker of mine has recently lost 35 pounds (last 4-5 months or so) from dieting and cardio at the gym. Needless to say, he is very happy with his results but he has been stuck at a certain weight and can’t seem to shed anymore. On a side note, I talk to him about P90X all of the time and I just started forcing it on him as he would be a perfect candidate for it. Not only is he already eating healthy, he is not shy to sweat during his workouts. Last week, he was telling me that he is going to be working with a trainer at his gym for the next 4 months and it’s only $90 a month. At first, I was a bit disappointed as I thought I convinced him to do P90X and again, I know he would see great results based on his attitude. I gave him my support and said ”you need to do what works for you” and I also mentioned $90 seems to be very cheap for a personal trainer so I then ask him how many days a week will you work with him…his response “once a month”. Okay, now I know why it was so cheap. I feel that I work with a personal trainer 6 days a week for a one time fee close to what he is paying monthly. I know he will be doing P90X soon enough, even though he committed to this trainer he claims he will be starting a round in March. I am not a P90X snob (just a big fan of it) so I wish him the best, you really need to do what works for you…and P90X does not work for everyone.
