P90X Workout – Day 22
Yoga-X – Today is considered Day 1 of my rest week. Even though the P90X program refers to this week as the rest week, it’s far from a rest week. P90X is made up of three 30 day phases making it a 90 day program. Each phase includes three weeks of workouts that include both weights and cardio-type exercises. Week 4 (rest week) does not focus on weight training but rather cardio-type / yoga workouts. The intent of the rest week is to allow your muscles to fully recover from the previous three weeks of the P90X program. This will also get you ready for the next three intense weeks of the program.
I think I mention this every time I do yoga-x but this workout is my least favorite of them all. I wish it was a 45 minute workout rather than a 90 minute one. I am determine to follow the program so I will continue to do it. Unfortunately, I have to do yoga-x again this week, it’s required twice during the rest week.
